Hi Daniel,

Select the pull-down menu ‘Windows/Info Window’ and then ‘File/Save as Startup’. What does the Info Window say?

Regards,
Juha

Hello Juha,

Interesting. When I go to my users area on my C drive, there are two folders. One is ".realsoft" and the other is ".realsoft3D_64_V8". Within the "".realsoft3D_64_V8" folder there is not a startup.r3d file anywhere. However, within the ".realsoft" folder there are several folders, two of which contain startup.r3d files. The two folders are "Realsoft3D_64_V8-8.1" and "Realsoft3D_64_V8-8.0". However, neither of these have a recent startup.r3d file. In the 8.0 folder, the startup.r3d file is dated 2/9/2017. The one on the 8.1 folder is dated 3/1/2017. I did a search on my entire C drive and there are only three instances of startup.r3d ... these two and the one where R3D is installed.

Hi Daniel,

I cannot confirm this problem.

'Save as startup' should create a local copy of 'startup.r3d' file into your home folder, something like:

 C:\Users\Daniel\.Realsoft3D_64_V8\Realsoft-8.1\startup.r3d.

Can you dig this up and send it to me for inspection, please.

R3D should first try to load this user specific version of startup project. If not found it will then load the one installed in your program folder (C:\Program Files\Realsoft\Realsoft3D_64_v8\startup.r3d).

Alright, I moved R3D to my second monitor and did the File>Save as
Startup. After closing R3D and starting it again, R3D STILL opens on
my first/primary monitor. No matter what I do, it will not start on my
secondary monitor.

Any solutions here?

Thanks,

Dan

 Tipp :

Open Realsoft
Move to your second monitor
File -> Save as Startup

Hello,

I have a dual monitor set up. The second monitor is a Dell Canvas
(like the Cintiq 27QHD Touch). If I move R3D to the second monitor,
close it from there, and open it again, it will always open on the
first monitor (which is the primary monitor). How can I get R3D to
open on the second monitor? If this is not currently possible, please
add this ability. It is a (minor) pain to have to move it each time I
want to model in R3D.

Thanks,

Dan Silverman
